'red shoes' by myra anderson painter of the ballerina sketch, spoiler alert and a prayer . . .

I hope you don't mind . . . but every day I worry about people and the planet.  So many personal tragedies and continuous disasters like fires, floods, earthquakes, and landslides.  I was reminded to think about that great scripture known by many where we are told to pray 'our Father who art in heaven . . . let your kingdom (government) come - let your will be done - on earth - as it is in heaven'.  Matthew 6:9  Amen . . . let your kingdom come!

SPOILER ALERT:  This weekend we fished some popcorn out from under the couch and watched the movie 'Enders Game'.  I won't give the whole thing away but if you were about to be invaded by a planet of large 6 feet roach-like creatures would YOU 'nuke' first and ask questions later?

There aren't enough jobs for people on this planet - could we really compete for jobs and co-exist with large roach-like creatures from another planet?

If we welcomed them to our planet - could your best friend be a large 6 foot roach from another planet?

This was not a bad movie - but I thought - 'Hey! We kill roaches here!  Should a planet of 6 foot roaches let us know that they exist and have the capability of coming to earth?  I hope this is science fiction.  Just sayin. . .'

Bonjour chère amie,
Cette adorable ballerine a un bien beau jupon. Ses chaussures sont la hauteur de ce dernier.
Les couleurs sont extraordinaires, pétillantes et flamboyantes !
Gros bisous ♡

Beautiful colors and great design.
This is a pretty powerful post, Myra. I worry too, but I also remember my parents worrying about all the things going on and what would their kids (moi) have to face. Here I am now worrying about my own grandchildren's future and after reading your post...I have to add those 6 foot ugly roaches. Shudder!

I am not into roaches, that's all I can say about that. And while we are on that subject, I USED to be a worrier...it dawned on me one day how little was out of my control, and suddenly the worry was lessened a great deal.

I am loving your ballerinas Myra. They are as lovely as ever.

I am sorry someone stole your sketch like that (earlier post). I think that some people just don't know any better.
