'the chicken, the cat and the big poodle spat!' by myra anderson...

Had you told me a couple of weeks ago that I would be drawing dogs every day and on the way to a 'drawing poodles' obsession...I would have said 'seriously?' 'are you kidding me?' 'you talkin to me?' Well it's true! Spat! And there is one poodle - a poodle running - that I have tried to draw at least four times...and one day I will get it right!

'In art if you don't know the rules...
 make up your own rules!
Then go and learn the rules...
and when you do - make up your own rules!'
from the book
'myra are you just sayin' stuff?'
by myra anderson
This past week I kept true to my word of trying to draw chickens and I also tried to draw a cat. I've got a ways to go with both. There was a sentiment running thru my head that I never thought I would think...I thought...

'The chicken is such an elegant creature!' Lol! For example, this chicken has everything to qualify as a work of art... the color combination, the textures, the abstract qualities and a feathery fashion sense!

Above is a 'google' guide that helped me to draw cats.  Next week I hope to work on the ballet, some watercolors and more.  Below is the work of artist Kim Roberti.  I have long admired all of her work and I have really loved her paintings of cats.
