'a fabulous comeback?' by myra anderson 'the M' . . .

As we all know - life is like a roller coaster sometimes - it has it's ups and downs . . .
On the upswing I actually was able to live a comfortable life in retirement for the last almost a decade.  Now it seems as if I must come out of retirement.  Believe it or not - the last time I had a job - I was an art teacher.  I admit that I was not the best - I was no Julie Ford Oliver!

In order to motivate my (adult) students I said things like "really?" "is this some sort of a joke?" "are you kidding me?" "will someone please wake me up from this nightmare?"  and "ahhhhhh - my eyes are burning!"

Toward the end of my teaching career I was getting paid for my actual teaching abilities - so my paychecks ranged from .15 to .30 cents per pay period.  Hey!  Would anyone like to take some art lessons from me?  Below is my real student work from my real students!!!!  Just let me know.  Otherwise I am going to pursue my other career choice - I want to be a supermodel.

You are funny Myra and I am glad you are keeping a sense of humor about it all. Are you really going back to teaching? I bet you were awesome when you did it before.

Your drawings are exquisite. I've been thinking about you!!

I really like your drawing. Coming out of retirement not an easy thing. But I think you will get some students and getting paid more now.

I love your attitude. Yep, I wanted to be a model too, until I tried it, nope! But perhaps you could pursue dress design (that would be my second choice). It actually looks like you could design dresses. Whoa, love the sense of humor with the kids (you absolutely have to have one). Many more trips to the dentists and I'll have to go out and get work also. I understand your plight. Blessings, Janet PPF
