'the dancer' by myra anderson . . .
Again, moving back into the painting arena I thought that I would show you how fantastic I look in a tutu. It was 1923 and I would wear a beautiful tutu to work everyday. The foreman at the plant where I worked asked me why I always wore a tutu. 'Because as a dancer I live and breathe the art of the dance!' I said. 'Riveting. . .' he said. 'Get back to riveting!' Yes. I was a riveter. I made rivets . . .
