'ballerina sketch' by myra anderson painter of the ballerina sketch . . .

(a continuation . . .) Lisa, Lee, Janettmarie, Julie, Katherine, Polly, Sharon, Hilda, Martine, Barbara, Wanda, Pia and all of the other artists could not believe the things that we had seen and heard.  It was the final day of  a three day conference with the impressionist painters  Degas, Monet, Renoir, Morisot and Cassatt.
Sketches by Charles-Paul Renouard
We each had a notebook filled with sketches and notes written by our favorite artists.  I loved everything but I loved my personal little Degas sketches of ballerinas the most.  We all looked at each other and smiled because we knew that no matter how busy we were in the upcoming year  we would meet up again at the next impressionist event.
'So . . .' said Mr. Renoir.  'Over the coming year we will be visiting some of you, learning from you and applying some of your techniques to our art.'
'On this last morning of the conference is there one final question?' he asked.  You could hear a rustling sound as almost as one person everyone turned to look at me.  Startled, I looked up from admiring my notebook and said 'Well yes Mr. Renoir, I do have a final question.'  'Please!'  everyone said in unison 'please consider your words very carefully!'  With great thought and carefully chosen words I said 'what . . .  are . . . we . . . having . . . for . . . lunch?'  And with that everyone stood and applauded . . .

The three day conference has come to an end, so sad, but I am very excited about getting back to the studio and work with my new found knowlege. In the meantime waiting for Ms. Morisot, I hope she will be the one to visit. I have so many questions about being a woman artist, so much I want to learn from her!
Thanks Myra, for the conference and especially...... the apple sandwiches!!

What a hoot. I had a complete visual of the room and all of us in it...you should have seen what I was wearing...and then poof...I am looking at a star filled apple sandwich and you were sitting next to Renoir sharing caviar.
