I'm using cheap acrylic paint like the ones you see below. They cost around $8.00 before the use of the wonderful 40% off coupon. I only have 18 colors but I wish I had the ones below - 24 - with the 'glow' colors. Imagine how much more fun that would be to experiment with.
There are many advantages of painting in a small book. If someone asks you 'what are you doing right now?' you can say 'well I'm an artist and right now I'm working on a book.' Then you can just 'whip out the book and let them take a look!' If they see something they like - whip out your exacto knife . . . cut it out . . . get paid . . . and buy yourself a medium ham, pineapple and jalapeno pepper pizza and a cold beverage. It's a win-win situation! So go out and buy yourself some cheap paints and have some fun. Peace.

Lol...I've missed your wonderful blog posts Myra. I've been away from the blog world for a while. Since I'm working on biggish paintings I don't have much to say. Be reassured I will always return to catch up. I hope you're feeling better.
Very HUMOROUS madam! i too paint in books, and love doing it in one that i think is a waste, ha! such power we own sometimes in the smallest of ways. i've had trouble for a month not being able to post on my blog, so i am back but not with a bang..have some big learning curves to conquer...have to post from my e mail of which has upgraded itself without my permission. hope to be more in the loop soon! xo
You are an inspiration, Myra.
I love what you paint, I love what you write and photo/video.
