project runway 'construction challenge' by myra anderson . . .

Project Runway was actually pretty exciting this week.  The person who thought that she had the best chance to ultimately win 'project runway' lost this episode to the person who she 'had the least respect for as a designer'.  She could not 'see' that she had designed a 'less than attractive' garment.  Well, I know many a day that I have done a drawing that I thought was superb - looked at it the next day - and thought - WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS I THINKING - WHERE IS THE INCINERATOR!!!!!!

Lee of 'Defining Me'
This week at the party, Lee who is an excellent illustrator and colorist did 'a pink and orange/yellow challenge'.  I was working on 'construction' and wanted to see if I could accurately copy the  dress silhouette.  (I didn't know until after - but this is another Kenley Collins design.) I'm still doing simple designs and I hope to amp it up in the future!  My girl has a face - but I didn't like the face - so I cut off the face!!!  Maybe I'll go back and work on it!

lol SO often folks with large egos fail to realize there are others more gifted. Tch tch tch... :D

Your work is fascinating to me. My friend and I once made an entire dress set for paper dolls--our daughters were in on it, and the designs were wonderful.

Your work reminds me of those days.

Very elegant and fashionable and I do love that color combo. Reminds me of sherbet and summertime!

I love what you did with the runway sketches, particularly the top one. Great gestural drawing.
I haven't watched PR for ages but I remember Kenly. Who could forget that name?
