myra anderson - the red sweater . . .

In 'the red sweater' I wanted to see if I could do a black and white drawing and yet make it look colorful.  Remember when I said that I did not like the abstracts that I had done?  Here again I cut some blue pieces and added them to the drawing.

Please watch the video as I feel as if I have shown the progression of steps better - maybe - perhaps.  I have been using 'windows live movie maker' which comes with windows if you want to download it.  Also I found some 'lettering' I had done before using 'stop motion animation' where you photograph each letter before you add another one to make it look as if they are moving by themselves when you play them all together.  Try it.  It's fun - if you have the time for it!

Building color, pattern and texture around your drawing is really effective. Love these little vids - will have to try this video maker out. Thanks for sharing!

I like your little video showing the process. It encourages me to incorporate some of my old life drawing sketches into paintings. The painting is very cool.

Myra, I am totally flattered that you listed me under impressionists Masters of color and light and I just want you to know that although my aunt is a retired IRS employee, I will not divulge that you are making a fortune with these paintings ;)

Loving what you're doing here!
