'the chicken, the rose and the party-color pose' by myra anderson

Happy Paint Party Friday! This past week I did everything I could to draw a decent rose but it just didn't work out lol! I also wanted to create better pansies so I googled 'how to draw pansies' and what I found was very helpful indeed! In the past I have tried to draw dogs, tigers and giraffes - so I was looking to expand my animal menagerie.  With that being said, below is a painting by the artist Patti Vincent.

When I saw this painting I remembered a book I browsed a long time ago about beautiful chickens.  So yes! Now I want to learn how to draw chickens!  I saw the chicken I would like to draw so Myra let's get cookin'!  In the meantime...who knew a chicken could look like this (below)! It's called the silkie chicken!

Don't worry silkies! Never may I eat ya!!! Below is a beautiful painting by the artist Michael Maczuga.
He too knows how to paint a chicken! When it comes to roses...here is a beauty by the artist...
Adisorn Pornsirikarn.  Me and roses? One day kids!!!! I am still loving the drawing of the dogs...but what else is going on? Let's see...

How Ironic.. I own 3 silkie chickens! I love them, they are only babies yet.. A few weeks old. Not produce eggs yet.. And will never be eaten as chicken -lol
I would like to learn to paint them to.. I should try harder!
