When I first started painting decades ago...(decades? crying emoji here) I started with still life, fruits and flowers. I can't really remember why I switched to figurative work but I think Degas ballerinas had something to do with it! This is almost finished using markers only...watercolor set just for the pretty colors! Smiling emoji here!

A day of doodles...C'mon artists!!! Everyone knows that - well - MOST artists have more than fifty tubes of paint! Am I right? LOL! This is a page of marker doodles. What fun! If I said that I have only fifty markers...would ANYONE believe me? Anyone? And if most artists don't have at least fifty tubes of paint...do I need some kind of intervention? Well? Do I?
How do you even spell 'zip-a-dee' doodle? Anyways...I mentioned that I haven't been painting lately and...I looked at my maybe fifty tubes of paint and thought 'what am I going to do with you until I start painting again'? I know...doodle!!!
It's been a long time...hasn't it? Well, I haven't really been painting lately...but I have been busy doodling and drawing with markers and a bit of watercolor in my sketchbooks. You already know this but... I think that you should always keep as much of your work (that you don't sell) as you can. Why? As I look back on my work I'm like 'when did I do this?' But mostly 'HOW did I do this?!' And the wonderful 'I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I COULD DO THAT!' Question: has my art gotten any better over these years? Answer: Uhh....ohh...humm......
