"'not breathing anymore' - is not my story" by myra anderson . . .

Well, imagine my surprise to have accidentally come across my drawing on this tumblr.  I'm just saying that it would have been nice if the person who decided to use my drawing as their logo would have asked me first!   I love the art of the ballet.  I love the grace and the beauty of the dancer and the dance.  I love charcoal drawings of the ballet - and I love painting the 'happy colors' of the dance.  If someone were to ask me if they could use my art to represent something else - I would have said  "Not unless it's helping you to feel better (I don't know I wasn't asked).  I am sorry that you feel so sad - let me help you find a copyright free image (and not a poor working girls art) that represents how you feel!"  If you know this person (notbreathinganymore) - pass the word!  Let me know if I sound 'snarkey' and I will remove this post!

Ouch! I don't think you sound snarkey, just protective of your work. We all are. I've found people using my work before, and asked for it to be taken down. One was even trying to sell my work on t-shirts. UGH.I have no idea how they could do that without having the high res photo..it must have looked awful in print. Can you email her?

J'imagine votre surprise et à la fois votre ressentiment face à cette usurpation ...

C'est effrayant et donne envie de stopper de publier...

As one who has had her work stolen both online and in person, I totally know how you feel!
