janettmarie and 30 paintings in 30 days . . .

Yesterday I spoke with magnificent mixed media artist extraordinaire (she pays me to call her that) Janettmarie.  All kidding aside, if you recall Janettmarie gave me a one day workshop that put me on the road to using color and mixed media techniques.   If I lived in Indiana and she gave workshops I would definitely take them.  

 With that being said I noticed that many artists will be exploring new avenues and techniques when they participate in the '30 in 30'.   I have decided that I would try abstracts.  If I could paint apples like this little beauty painted by JM - I would paint apples all day long!  But - let's see if I can explore the beauty of color with my abstracts in the 'three oh - three oh'.

great idea to do abstracts. I am going to do the 30 in 30 and see what happens. There will be hundreds participating!
