Here is the little book that I was telling you about that I was going to use for my 'altered book' mixed media project. I have a friend who rescues abandoned Barbies from the thrift and totally revamps them. Since I have long wanted to paint Barbie this conversation finally convinced me to give it a go.
This in no way looks like the Barbie I was painting but it's not too shabby as far as a portrait goes. Here is an artist who does a fantastic job painting Barbie. (More about her later.) Anyway I have maybe 10 $2.99 Barbies now (they were on sale) - so we will see how it goes. If you are 'two times thirty' and still love dolls - what better excuse to be in Toys R Us. Get yourself a Barbie.

Looks like Barbie eyes and Barbie hair.
I like the collage elements you added. The texture in her face is cool.
I visited your friend Julie and her Barbie girls. Wow! She's full of ideas and very colorful.
I think your new book will be a hit, looking good! Have a great weekend.
I like your Barbie face. She's cute.
I never owned a Barbie. I'm just old enough that they came out when I was past the stage of playing with dolls. My daughter wasn't a doll person so Barbie didn't make any money from us!
i think you got barbie's eyes and hair, i love your lips, you do them great, and i love the shadows, I love the whole thing, I went over and looked at the other site, she is quite the painter, very good
