bonnie and an elegant chair wip . . .
This is a work in progress - one of those paintings that for some reason you don't finish quickly. I'm posting it now because that's a right snappy little chair - if I do say so myself! This painting is about patterns - I like the pattern that I was working on - on the side as well. I thought of Bonnie as a model - she looks snazzy in that dress!

Lisa and an elegant chair . . .
Right now I am on a chair-ca-tion. A summer of painting chairs. Julie made me laugh out loud when she said that she had to look for the chair in the last painting. Can you tell that I found the chair more difficult to draw than the figure in this painting? For me chairs are difficult - almost as difficult as cupcakes. I imagine that this is how Lisa looks when she dresses up for one of those fancy doings of hers . . .
