the sunflowers of van gogh . . .

I consider this painting to be experimental.  This was the first time I began to incorporate the sunflower into the clothing.  Here I made the mistake of using a marker right down the center of her face.  In my next painting I drew the figure with a pencil.  Surprisingly it was harder for me to draw with a pencil than a marker.
As I mentioned before,  I love photos of the artist's workspace and paints.   This is the paint of the fantastic artist Markun taidetta.  Among other things he paints beautiful landscapes.  I love this photo of his 'van gogh's'.
I speak about this in my book 'would you go to van gogh's party - if he was serving ham hocks with grits and gravy?  well? would you?'

i'd have to go...to meet him if nothing else and this could be mighty tasty! LOVE LOVE your sunflowers. and i would have never guessed you marked accidently down the center...i thought it was wisp of dangling hair...it really does that you know, uncontrollable sometimes! :))

Myra, this is just lovely ...the girl seems to be in a dreamy world of her own holding onto the stem of the sunflower, beautiful and fresh coloring , too. I wouldn't have noticed the line in her face if you hadn't mentioned it.
