a new and difficult hat painting by myra anderson - hearts of red and blue . . .

Well, as you can see, I finally made that trip to the craft store and bought some heart stamps.  It was like JanettMarie said - the variety of paper and stamps was tremendous.  I truly believe that every artist should be given a grant of $1,000 to go and buy different things to try out.  Something I never thought that I would say is 'STAMPING IS FUN'.

Also, I used the rest of that map in order to 'craft' this dress.  This is a message to Sharon.  THANKS A LOT SHARON - NOW I CAN'T WAIT TO GO AND BUY MORE MAPS SO THAT I CAN HAVE MORE FUN CREATING MORE ART!  MY POCKETBOOK THANKS YOU!

AnYwHoo . . . This is the artist John Erickson.
I certainly would like to do larger works like these one day.  I would also like to add 'surprise' elements to my art - not a pushpin sticking out of the face - but something . . .

Fantastic piece Myra! You should draw a tutu with lots of little Degas ballerinas...or maybe you could find craft paper instead and then you would have to draw them all.

Aww thanks for the thanks Myra! The maps look great in your dresses, I'm glad my thoughts inspired you, now I need to get on with using maps myself instead of just thinking about it! Take care, Sharon
