my watercolor degas #1 . . . and . . . a vision of loveliness

When I haven't painted for a while I begin again with my happy 'go to' - a degas ballerina.  Again, 'wingin' it' with my watercolors!   This watercolor looks so lovely in person.  I'm going to see if I can take a better photo!

What a vision of loveliness . . . a picture really is worth a thousand words!  Happy homecoming to Lisa G. and her mom!

Ah, thanks Myra for keeping me updated with Lisa's Mom. She looks pretty good here, heck they both do!

Keep playing with those watercolors!

Myra, you are such a thoughtful friend...and you have a magic way of handling a paint brush. I mean it. Your talent is huge and you are an inspiration.

A little something about my picture...I love this picture. We took it just a week before she went into the hospital. We had no idea she was that sick, and on this particular day she agreed to go out with me, even though she had not been feeling too well for a very long time (my mom refused to see doctors until this all happened). Anyways, what we were doing was seeing the site of our old house that I grew up in. The high school down the street bought the entire block to place sports facilities and all the houses are all gone. This photo is on the corner where our house once stood. Kind of sad, but honestly the property never looked the same after my mom sold it. She was a meticulous keeper of the yard. I thought the picture was fitting for the day of her homecoming. I am glad you liked it too.

Thank you again friend.
